Pour Dorian, l'épreuve de Spa-Francorchamps restera la première épreuve où il aura pu révéler l'étendue de son talent en F3 avec notamment un top 5 dans la course 2 et ses premiers points au championnat.
« J'ai maintenant la sensation d'avoir comblé une bonne partie de mon déficit de roulage par rapport à mes adversaires. » explique le pilote Lotus F1 Junior Team. « Tout s'est remis dans l'ordre, j'ai davantage d'expérience et la performance est bien là. Mon moteur est désormais au top et le Team Signature a fait un excellent travail. »
Dorian a enchaîné des performances pendant tout le week-end de Spa-Francorchamps. Il a d'abord pris un superbe départ depuis la 31e position (pénalité oblige) en course 1, avec 7 places de mieux dès le 2e tour. Il est ensuite remonté progressivement jusqu'à la 18e position, soit un gain total de 13 places.
Son 9e temps en Q2 lui permettait de partir pour la première fois dans le top 10 de la course 2. D'autant plus que les incidents et accidents se succédaient à un rythme effréné et provoquaient des interventions massives de la voiture de sécurité. Dorian profitait de ces perturbations pour revenir jusqu'à la 5e place, tout en signant le 6e meilleur tour de la course. « Un top 5, voilà qui fait du bien au moral, surtout que je suis le 1er rookie ! Je me sens libéré après un début de saison plutôt difficile, et puis je marque mes premiers points au championnat ! »
Disputée à nouveau sur une piste glissante, la course 3 était encore plus significative de la progression du jeune pilote de l'Equipe de France FFSA Circuit. « J'ai pris un excellent départ et je suis passé de la 8e à la 5e position. J'ai ensuite attaqué le 4e, mais il m'a touché alors que j'étais passé et je suis parti en 360. Je n'y étais pour rien, le pilote a d'ailleurs été sanctionné. Après coup, je me suis dit qu'il allait falloir que je réfléchisse comment éviter ce genre d'incident. » Reparti 17e, Dorian cravachait et terminait finalement au 13e rang, réalisant cette fois le 5e meilleur temps de la course.

For Dorian, the Spa-Francorchamps race remains the first race where he revealed the extent of his talent in F3 including a top five in race 2 and his first championship points. Dorian completed performances throughout the weekend of Spa-Francorchamps. He made a superb start from the 31st position (because of the penalty) in race 1, with seven places gained by the second lap. Then he gradually climbed up to 18th position, a total gain of 13 seats.
His 9th fastest time in Q2 allowed him to start in the top 10 for the first time in race 2. As incidents and accidents happened at a frantic pace and caused a significant safety car intervention, Dorian took advantage of the disturbances to return to 5th place, while setting the sixth fastest lap of the race. "A top five, which is good for morale, especially as I was the top rookie! I feel liberated after a difficult start to the season, and I have scored my first points in the championship!"
Fought again on a slippery track, race 3 saw even more significant progression for the young driver from the FFSA Equipe de France Circuit. "I got a great start and I moved from 8th to 5th position. I then attacked for 4th, but he touched me after I had passed and I went 360. There was nothing I could do, and the driver was sanctioned. " Left 17th, Dorian fought to regain places, and finally finished 13th overall this time setting the fifth fastest time of the race.

Per Dorian, Spa-Francorchamps resterà la prima prova in cui ha potuto dimostrare tutto il valore del suo talento in F3, soprattutto grazie a una posizione nei primi 5 in Gara 2 e ai primi punti conquistati nel campionato. "Adesso sì che ho la sensazione di avere colmato la maggior parte del mio deficit di guida rispetto agli avversari", ha spiegato il pilota Lotus F1 Junior Team. "È tornato tutto a posto, ho più esperienza e le prestazioni sono arrivate. Il motore ormai è al massimo e il team Signature ha portato a termine un lavoro straordinario".
Per tutto il weekend, Dorian ha mantenuto performance in Spa-Francorchamps. Ha fatto subito una partenza straordinaria dalla 31a posizione (penalità oblige) in Gara 1, recuperando sette posizioni sin dal secondo giro. Ha poi rimontato progressivamente sino alla 18a posizione, riuscendo a guadagnare complessivamente ben tredici posizioni.
Il nono tempo nella seconda manche di qualifica gli ha permesso di partire per la prima volta tra i primi dieci in Gara 2. Contrattempi e incidenti si sono succeduti a un ritmo vertiginoso, richiedendo a più riprese l'intervento della safety car. Dorian ha approfittato della confusione per risalire fino al 5° posto e facendo anche registrare il sesto miglior tempo della gara. "Piazzarsi tra i primi 5 fa sicuramente bene al morale e poi sono il primo tra i rookie! Mi sono liberato di un peso dopo un inizio stagione abbastanza difficile, per non parlare del fatto che ho conquistato i primi punti in campionato!".
Gara 3, che si è disputata di nuovo su una pista scivolosa, ha mostrato in modo ancora più evidente la progressione del giovane pilota del Circuito Equipe de France FFSA. "Ho fatto una partenza eccellente e sono passato dall'ottavo al quinto posto. Quindi ho attaccato il quarto posto, ma mi hanno toccato dopo che ero passato, facendomi fare un testacoda. Non c'entravo niente, l'altro pilota invece è stato sanzionato. In ogni modo, mi sono detto che devo assolutamente capire come evitare incidenti di questo tipo". Ripartito dalla diciassettesima posizione, Dorian ha dato tutto per recuperare terreno e ha chiuso al 13° posto, questa volta con il quinto miglior tempo della gara.

Para Dorian, Spa-Francorchamps quedará como la primera prueba en la que pudo demostrar su talento en F3, sobre todo gracias a su posición entre los top 5 en la Carrera 2 y a los primeros puntos conquistados en el campeonato. "Ahora tengo la sensación de haber recuperado gran parte de mi falta de entrenamiento con respecto a mis rivales", explica el Piloto del Lotus F1 Junior Team. " Pero ahora está todo mucho mejor, tengo más experiencia y mis prestaciones lo han demostrado. Mi motor ya está a su nivel máximo y el equipo Signature hizo un trabajo excelente ".
Durante todo el fin de semana Dorian tuvo unas prestaciones en Spa-Francorchamps. Tuvo una salida extraordinaria desde la posición 31 (debido a una penalidad) en la Carrera 1, recuperando siete posiciones ya desde la segunda vuelta. Dorian subió progresivamente hasta la posición 18 y ¡en total ganó 13 lugares!
Su noveno tiempo en la segunda manga de calificación le permitió salir por primera vez entre los top 10 de la Carrera 2. Incidentes y accidentes que se produjeron a un ritmo desenfrenado provocaron intervenciones frecuentes del coche de seguridad. Dorian aprovechó la confusión para remontar hasta el quinto puesto, marcando el sexto mejor tiempo de la carrera. "Un top 5, esto sí que te sube la moral, ¡sin contar que soy el primer rookie! Me siento aliviado tras un inicio de temporada bastante complicado, además ¡marqué mis primeros puntos en el campeonato!"
La Carrera 3, que también se disputó en una pista resbaladiza, mostró aún más claramente la progresión del joven piloto del Circuito del Equipo de Francia FFSA. "Tuve una salida excelente y pasé de la octava a la quinta posición. Luego ataqué el cuarto lugar, pero el piloto me chocó cuando yo ya había pasado obligándome a hacer un trompo de 360°. Yo no tenía nada que ver, de hecho el otro piloto fue sancionado. De todas formas he pensado que tengo que entender absolutamente cómo evitar este tipo de accidentes". Dorian volvió a salir desde la posición 17, hizo todo lo posible para recuperar y terminó en la posición 13 realizando esta vez el quinto mejor tiempo de la carrera.
